The Forward to the First Edition of the Big Book first printed in 1939 states:
"We, of Alcoholics Anonymous are more than one hundred men and women who have recovered from a seemingly hopeless state of mind and body. To show other alcoholics precisely how we have recovered is the main purpose of this book. "
Eastlake BBA is a fellowship of men and women who have had a spiritual awakening as a result of the Twelve Steps program of recovery found in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Our fellowship aims to create a loving culture in Eastlake BBA where anyone can belong before they believe.
Our purpose is to share our experience, strength and hope with others, especially alcoholics and addicts, and show them "precisely how we have recovered".
